About Our Firm
Custer, Faust, Nestor & Associates, P.C. is a full-service accounting firm located in Millersburg, PA. We cater to a wide variety of individual, business, non-profit organizations and local governments. We provide tax and accounting services for individuals and businesses, including tax planning and tax return preparation, bookkeeping and payroll processing services.
We are a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants and the National Association of Tax Practitioners. The firm also successfully completed peer review as required by the AICPA.

Our mission is to provide you with the finest accounting, tax, management advisory, bookkeeping and payroll services, and, at all times, practice with honesty, integrity and courtesy.

Our History
Our founding company, Custer & Custer was established in 1981 and, in January 2006, it reorganized into Custer, Faust & Associates, P.C. In January 2024 Hannah Nestor, CPA became partner and presently the firm has a staff of 8 professionals and 5 paraprofessionals.
Our areas of practice include full bookkeeping and payroll processing services, individual and business tax preparation and planning, and preparation of financial statements for non-profit organizations and local governments.
About Our Founder
Baylor Custer, CPA founded this company in 1961. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and passed the CPA examination in 1968. He prepared individual and business taxes for over 40 years and was well respected in his field for the sound business advice that he offered his clients.
He served as the chief financial officer in private industry for 25 years and gained a wealth of first-hand knowledge about the operation of a successful business, which he shared in this practice.
Baylor served the community of Millersburg for 14 years as a member of the town council and as mayor. He was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church and chairman of the church finance committee.
His passing in 2017 was mourned by many, but he is truly remembered as a pillar of the community. His devotion to his faith, family and friends will never be forgotten. Those of us here at Custer, Faust & Associates, P.C. count ourselves fortunate to have worked with a man who led by example, insisted on excellence, accuracy and service to all clients, and always injected a spirit of dedication to the task at hand.
We honor Baylor by doing our best, to work together to provide the highest standard to our clients. We tell stories about Baylor — his sense of humor, hunting conquests, his interest in the Yankees, his courageous battles with health issues, and so forth. Respect never goes away.

John J. Faust, CPA
John Faust joined the staff in November of 2003 and became partner in January of 2006. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from Penn State University and successfully completed the Certified Public Accounting Examination in April 2003.
His experience prior to joining our firm includes governmental accounting and corporate accounting specializing in cost savings and profit maximization.
Rick Ibberson
Staff Accountant
Rick Ibberson joined the staff in January 2010. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from Penn State University.
Rick has many years of experience working in private industry, as well as a great deal of involvement in the community, including his duties as mayor of Millersburg.
Lori Faust
Staff Accountant
Lori joined the firm in April 2008. She graduated from Juniata College in 1996 with a bachelor’s of social work. She has been working diligently to provide our clients with the highest level of service.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, husband, her three children, daughter-in-law and the newest addition to the family, a grandson in September 2020. She also enjoys getting outdoors, she can be found walking, running, or even biking whenever possible.
Lorie Klinger
Staff Accountant
Lorie worked part time for Laudenslager & Shade but moved to full time when we acquired the company. She was a CPA in Arizona but later moved back to Pennsylvania where she was a part owner of a local business for several years.
She loves spending her free time (which is NOT during tax season) relaxing beside the ocean. She is married with a daughter, who is also an accountant, and has two puppies.
Katie Troutman
Staff Accountant
Katie joined the team in July 2021. She graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the Jersey Shore.
Hannah Nestor, CPA
Staff Accountant
Hannah joined the staff in October 2021. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Hannah previously worked for a firm in Pittsburgh. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog, boyfriend and family.
In January 2024 Hannah became partner with the firm.
Amber Bingaman
Staff Accountant
Amber joined the staff in January of 2022. She graduated from Messiah College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, and coaching softball.
Allison Miller
Staff Accountant
Allison joined the team in July of 2023. She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Tava Warfield
Office Assistant, Payroll Clerk
Tava is a paraprofessional who joined the team in September 2021. She works on a variety of tasks in the front office, including payroll and bookkeeping. Tava is married and has a daughter.
Trish Shutt
Office Assistant, Payroll Clerk
Trish is a paraprofessional who joined the team in June 2022. She works on a variety of tasks in the front office, including payroll and bookkeeping services. When not working she enjoys spending family time with her husband and two children.
Shirley Bard
Office Assistant, Payroll Clerk
Shirley is a paraprofessional who joined the team in June 2022. She works on a variety of tasks in the office, including payroll and bookkeeping services.
When not working, Shirley enjoys the outdoors, travel and spending time with her family.
